Passengers, drivers questioned at Sg Tujoh Control Post.

Sungai Tujoh - Twenty-eight passengers of a foreign-registered public bus headed to the capital were held up at the Sungai Tujoh Control Post by the Royal Brunei Police Force after parts of a dangerous weapon were found on board the bus by the Royal Customs and Excise enforcement officers.

Parts of the dangerous weapon, believed to be a gun, were found when the enforcement officers at the control post conducted a check at around 9am yesterday morning after the driver declared the items.

The weapon parts included a barrel.

The Royal Brunei Police Force was contacted to conduct a thorough investigation.

The bus was cordoned off for a complete search while the passengers and driver were questioned.

The Royal Brunei Police Force let the passengers off after questioning but has detained the two drivers for further investigation.

The items found will be sent for ballistic testing for further confirmation.
