Bandar Seri Begawan - Knowledge and Language Upgrading Centre (PPIB) of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA) is offering Al-Quran language learning programme for the public for the second intake. The progamme will run for three months, starting. March 15 to June Z 2013.
The objectives are to give opportunities to the local community to learn Arabic language, to facilitate in understanding and embracing Arabic language, to realise the aspiration of UNISSA in general and PPIB in particular in elevating Arabic language as a language of Al-Quran.
The uniqueness of this programme is not only in disseminating skills on Arabic language but more importantly the understanding and embracing of Quranic verses, selected Hadith, daily Doas, prayer recitals, daily Zikir and others according to, the modules.
The programme is targeted at government officers and staff at the ministries, universities, institutions, schools, mosques as well as private sector staff, retirees and those interested. The programme runs every Friday and Sunday from 8.30am to 10.30am at the UNISSA lecture hall.
The modules are divided into three sections; basic, intermediate and advance. The programme will use two modes of instruction, Arabic to Malay and Arabic to English.
The fee is S60 for administrative purposes and does not include the purchase of text books. Candidates who follow this programme will receive certificates. The deadline to submit application forms is March 13.
