Unicup Lunch Session With Bibd At-Tamwil

Bandar Seri Begawan - BIBD At-Tamwil Berhad held a luncheon session with the local media at the Millenium Restaurant yesterday.

The local media were welcomed by a number of officers and staff members of BIBD At-Tamwil Berhad for a discussion in regards to the -long-awaited University Cup (UniCup) that will commence tomorrow, with the official launch of the tournament to be held at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.

During the get-together session, staff members of the BIBD At-Tamwil Berhad shared information and preparations that they have made for the exciting and exhilarating tournament between several universities and higher education institutions comprising of Institut Teknologi BruneirUniversiti Brunei Darussalam, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College and Brunei Polytechnic.

As stated by one of the officers yesterday, the main objective of the friendly tournament is to promote football as part of a healthy activity among the youths in Brunei and to encourage friendly matches between them while developing their leadership qualities through teamwork.

Furthermore, distribution of the UniCup flyers by staff members of BIBD AtTamwil Berhad will end today in which recipients of the flyers will get a chance to participate in a lucky draw that will be held during the opening ceremony of UniCup and also stand a chance to win more than 100 prizes that have been allocated by BIBD At-Tamwil Berhad.

The tournament is also supported by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam.

Attractive prizes will also be given to winners through a quiz and photography competition that will be held during the tournament.

Football enthusiasts are welcome to watch the matches throughout the month-long tournament as admission is free.
