Bandar Seri Begawan - The Academy of Brunei Studies (APB), the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) and the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Centre for Islamic Studies (SOASCIS) of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) as well as the Department of Southeast Asia Studies of Frankfurt University will be hosting an international seminar on "Current Research on Malay World". The seminar will be held from March 29 to March 31 at the Chancellor Hall of UBD.
Themed "Stimulation and Promoting Malay Studies at Regional and International Level", the seminar is open to government officers, lecturers, academicians, students and members of the public, local and abroad.
The objectives of the seminar are to exchange views on the latest research on the Malay world, provide exposure, experience and knowledge to seminar participants on Malay research as well as provide academic networking between presenters and participants.
Fees for the three-day seminar are $50 for local participants and $20 for local students. For international participants and students, the fees are US$50 and US$20 respectively.
Member of the public are invited to participate in the seminar.
Interested participants must complete a registration form and return it to UBD as soon as possible.
