Bandar Seri Begawan - Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Aerobics Club held its first outdoor activity by giving a free aerobic session at the Tasek Lama Recreational Park, Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday morning in conjunction with the UBD Convocation Festival 2012 and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The session, instructed by Miss Susi of Groove Studio Brunei, commenced at 730am and was attended by a total of 40 members and non-members of the club from UBD, accompanied by the club's committee.
This event is one of the club's annual events, in order to contribute for its participation and support to UBD's important event.
Participants of the aerobic session each wore a pink ribbon on their wrists and a pink shirt to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness as one of the initiatives to show their support for breast cancer survivors, volunteers and medical professionals.
The main objective of the aerobics club is to introduce it to the society by appearing in a public recreational park.
It is also to form a closer bond between the club members and the committee as well as to increase awareness on how important it is to look after their health through workouts and dieting in order to build their self-confidence.
One of the committee members, Nur Azzah Syazwani binti Hj Baidi, stated that the committee hopes they can continue to educate the members, not only by holding these aerobic sessions, but at the same time seek their continued support in the committee's work.
