Bandar Seri Begawan - Two men produced before the court yesterday to face a charge of theft and committing mischief were released on bail, with their case pending consolidation with another case involving 15 similar charges.
Shamshuddin bin Mohammad, 30, and 44-year-old Abdul Rahim bin Hj Alim, allegedly stole a laptop bag containing gadgets at the parking lot near Neo Metro Furniture Store in Kg Batu Besurat, between 8.45pm and 10pm on November 2, 2012.
Abdul Rahim is alleged to have committed mischief by causing wrongful damage to a car window to obtain the laptop bag.
The defendants are facing trial in another case with 15 similar charges.
Senior Magistrate Lailatul Zubaidah Hussin released the defendants on bail of B$5,000 or one local surety each with restrictions.
The case was fixed to be mentioned on November 20, 2012 in the court before Senior Magistrate Harnita Zelda Skinner for the consolidation of this case with the other one that the defendant's face.
DPP Dk Nurul Pg Rosli prosecuted the case.
