Kuala Belait - An accident involving two cars occurred around 8.50am yesterday near the Menara Cendera Kenangan (MCK) monument roundabout at Kuala Belait.

The accident occurred when one of the cars - coming from Jalan Panglima - collided with the other car which was turning at the roundabout.

One of the cars involved was nearly knocked into a section of sewage drain due to the impact but was fortunate that the drain barrier did not give way.

Both cars suffered damages and no injuries were reported.

Police personnel in two patrol cars from the Kuala Belait Police Station and Belait Rapid Response Squad (STS) rushed to the scene to investigate the accident and helped direct the flow of traffic.
