Bandar Seri Begawan - Two participants will represent Brunei in an Al-Quran recitation ceremony in conjunction with the event of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

The event will be held at the Islamic Royal National Affairs Centre, Nong Chok, Bangkok, between March 23 and 26, 2013.

The participants are Awang Muhd Fahmie bin Awg Hj Metussin and Dyg Hjh Aminah binti Hj Abdul Manap, who are selected based on their experience, where Awg Muhd Fahmie has represented Brunei Darussalam for the International Quran Reading Competition held in Kuala Lumpur in 2006 and 2009, while Dyg Hjh Aminah participated in the same competition in 2002.

Joining the participants are the Head of the Development of the Islamic Teachings, Awg Hj Mail bin Hj Besar in his capacity as the head of the delegation, an Acting Senior Religious Officer, and Dyg Hjh Siti Mahyana binti PSRKDPSS Hj Awang Yahya, who is required to be present as an escort for Hjh Aminah.
