Tutong Rover Scouts Visit Kapok Consultative Council

Tutong - A group of 19 Rover Scouts from the Tutong District Scouts Association led by Skipper Hj Mohammad bin Hj All were invited as guests to the Kg Kapok Village -Consultative Council (MPK Kapok, Muara) Committee at the Weekend.

The courtesy visit was part of the programme of events for the Tutong District Open Rover Scouts Troop, and was meant to enhance their relationship with the village youths and the village consultative council.

ser-ved as one of the adventure and-exploration activities for the Tutong District Open Rover Scouts Troop for the year 2012 to enable its members to gain experience and extensive knowledge.

Hj Marali bin Hj Ahmad, the Village Head of Kg Kapok greeted and briefed the troop on Kg Kapok's development activities in general.

In the afternoon, the troop went on a 2.78-kilometre hike to the peak of Bukit Tempayan Pisang, which has a height of 300 metres above sea level. The hike took approximately 55 minutes.

The troop also took the opportunity to attend a lecture at Kg Kapok Mosque and performed mass prayers together with the village residents.

Also present during the courtesy visit were the Commissioner of the Tutong District Scouts Association, Awg Burhanuddin bin Hj Mohd Daud and Rover Scouts Headquarters Unit Commissioner Awg Hj Othman bin Durani, who also presented scouts badges to new members.

The troop gathered to clean the yard and kitchen area of Kg Kapok Mosque before leaving the following day.
