Bandar Seri Begawan - Rokiah bte Matnoor emerged as the winner of the Times Square Third Series Lucky Draw Campaign and won a brand new iPhone 5 in front of a capacity crowd at the Times Square Atrium yesterday.
The lucky draw had drawn an overwhelming response with more than 1,800 registered finalists among the crowd last afternoon.
Hj Rahiman brought home a new Samsung Galaxy Camera for coming second while one of the most sought-after gadgets - an iPad Mini -- was taken home by Umi Hanifah Hj Adnani for coming in third place. Meanwhile, Hj Ahmad Salleh walked away with a wide smile after winning a 32" LED Philips TV in fourth place.
Presenting the prizes to the 16 finalists were Amal Majidah, General Manager of Times Square and Chiu Siew Yii, Marketing Manager of Times Square.
The Third Series Lucky Draw campaign ran from September 19, 2012 to September 15 this year, with a lucky draw held once every two months.
Times Square has also announced that the next draw will be held on May 19 at 2pm, providing another exciting opportunity for shoppers to win attractive prizes. To be eligible for the draw, shoppers have to make a purchase of any amount at Times Square and submit their receipts at the lucky draw box conveniently found near to the main entrance.
Meanwhile, in conjunction with the first-term school holidays, Times Square will be organising the first-ever Japan Festival from March 21 to March 24, an event supported by the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam, the Japan Tourism Organisation (JNTO) and the Brunei-Japan Friendship Association (BJFA) - Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Chapter at the Times Square Atrium.
The programme will introduce traditional and contemporary Japanese culture, technology and lifestyle, including Wadaiko (Japanese drum performances), martial arts demonstration such as Kempo, Kendo, Aikido and Karate, cooking demonstrations, origami and furoshiki demonstration (traditional Japanese toy games) and a Cosplay show.
Times Square is fast enhancing its reputation as the ultimate destination for the all-around shoppers with its diverse range of facilities including an indoor futsal arena, a hotel and the recently opened Times Cineplex.
