Bandar Seri Begawan - The Empire Hotel & Country Club held its recognition award ceremony for their Employee of the 4th Quarter of the Year last week.

A total of 12 key performing employees from the Front of the House, Heart ofthe House and one manager received nomination awards from The Empire Hotel & Country Club's Executive Committee members.

At the same time three managers from various departments were also rewarded as 'Best Manager': Michele Wong from Food & Beverage Services, Agapito Velasco from the Engineering Department for Heart of the House and Md Suzi Shamrol Suhaili from the Golf & Country Club Department from the Front of the House.

All of the awarded managers each received a voucher worth B$150 and a certificate of appreciation. They will also have the opportunity to be selected for the Employee of the Year Award.

The employees were then congratulated for their hard work and on a job well done by Hi Jaidi bin Hj Abd Sani, the Acting General Manager of The Empire Hotel & Country Club.

One of the objectives of the employee recognition celebration is an ongoing effort to continuously thank, appreciate and recognise each of the individual employees who excel in their work performance, attitude and overall team spirit through active participation in various activities organised by The Empire Hotel & Country Club.

In the past few months, the hotel has organised a number of internal activities such as Prata Day and Fruits Day which were held on Oct 12 and 23, respectively.

Pg Amirul Asmawiee bin Pg Hj Sabtu, Human Resource Manager, stated that these activities are a few of the hotel's initiatives to engage their employees to be able to work as a team and to learn how .to cooperate with one another.
