Bandar Seri Begawan - A total of 14 students from International Language Academy (ILA) of Yala Islamic University (YIU) Southern Thailand successfully completed their one-month Global Discovery Programme: Intensive English Course under the Continuing Education Centre at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).

The aims of the programme were to improve their English skills and to discover new educational environment.

It was also part of ILA's initiative to provide opportunities for their students to study abroad while waiting for their degree registration in June.

The students returned to Thailand recently. On hand to bid farewell to the students was the Charge d'Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy to Brunei Darussalam, Siriporn Thaitrong. Also present were the lecturers of UBD, NorAzmah Hj Mohd Yunus and Nor'Arifahwati Hj Abbas.
