Bandar Seri Begawan - Motorists claimed tents have been erected by some shop-owners on parking spaces to expand their shopping lots during the current Brunei sale has caused lack of parking spaces and traffic jams.
They urged relevant authorities to look into the matter.
Brunei is currently having its ‘Salebration' to rear the benefits of the increase of shoppers especially during the start of the school term and with Bruneian employees just receiving their annual bonus. Brunei "Salebration" or BSb will end on January 13. It offers goods at discounted prices.
Throughout the 49 days of the BSb 2012, participants display price tags clearly on every product on sale. Each product or item offered should display two different prices - the original price and the discounted price.
The sale can contribute to the objective to accelerate the country's economic activity through attractive sales promotions and encourage the public to shop locally.
