Bandar Seri Begawan - ‘Teman Musafir', a book written by Buhuth and Irsyad Section officers from the State Mufti Department, is a must-have for Muslim travellers as it answers questions frequently raised by the Muslim community with regard to certain issues before, while and after travelling.
Launched yesterday in conjunction with the Book Fair 20I3, Teman Musafir is divided into nine chapters and discusses ethics before travelling, while travelling, and after returning from travel; Qashar and Jama' prayers; travelling during the month of Ramadhan; Halal food and drinks guidelines; as well as Zikir and prayers during difficulties.
The book contains important resources for Muslim travellers as it not only covers normal guidelines, but also matters seldom discussed by other writers, such as methods to determine the Qiblat and others.
Teman Musafir, available at the State Mufti Department's booth at the fair, costs $4.
