Bandar Seri Begawan - Both traditional and signature Japanese fusion dishes have been widely known to be popular among both local and foreign diners with an escalating growth in interest, in particular the Shabu dining concept - which allows customers to cook their own food - which has grown to be the ultimate dining experience for large crowds in recent times.

Newly opened to the public after a soft launching ceremony, FunShabu-Shi has already ignited the passion among Japanese food enthusiasts with a fine selection of Shabu homemade specialty items inspired by their own dedicated Chefs with appetising dishes such as Gyu Enoki Maki, comprised of golden mushrooms wrapped with thinly sliced -beef and Stuffed Igai, which is mussel stuffed with fish and minced chicken.

Some of the unique dishes featured in the menu demonstrate and redefine the idealistic concept of Japanese fusion, which is also reflected in the selection of pasta dishes, which may come across as a new experience even for the savviest customer. A varied selection of common favourites such as Tori Katsu Pasta and Salmon Sashimi Pasta is accompanied with more enticing dishes like the Unagi Onsen Tamago Pasta, grilled eel and hot-spring egg with teriyaki sauce, and the Hamburg Kinoko Pasta, a homemade hamburger and Japanese mushroom with meat sauce, among other dishes.

Aside from the mouth-watering pasta dishes, there is also a vast array of traditional Sushi dishes on the menu with a range of Sashimi and Nigiri platter, equally as appetising as the selection of Shabu items to create a perfect balance to the customer's overall dining experience.

In the meantime, 'customers can order a la carte items and set menu for Shabu dishes while a buffet concept will be introduced soon once the grand opening of the restaurant is held.

With good ambience, whether in small groups or a dinner for two, customers can make reservations for a selection of rooms depending on the number of people. A unique feature of the restaurant is that FunShabu-Shi also accommodates a table for two persons in an open space concept, closed down by walls, to ensure some privacy. FunShabuShi also accommodates customers who make reservations in huge numbers, conveniently for group meetings, in a room which has a capacity of around 20 people, separated by a partition if such customers decide to split into two groups.

The entire restaurant can accommodate up to 200 people.

Furthermore, there is also a seating area where customers can take a closer look at the open kitchen where chefs prepare "kushiyaki" dishes, which are skewers served in a selection of either meat and poultry or seafood. In addition, they can also have a better vie* of chefs preparing sushi items in the "Sushi Corner", a concept that is visibly practised by restaurants internationally as part of the customer's dining experience.
