Bandar Seri Begawan - Brunei Industrial Development Authority (BINA) yesterday received a group of 25 pre-vocational students with special needs from Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School, Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School, Lambak Kiri Secondary School and Rimba Secondary School, who were there on an educational visit.
Seven teachers were at hand to assist the students. The visitors were given a briefing on the functions and roles of BINA that was delivered by Dk Suridah binti Pg Hj Sulaiman, Special Duties Officer Level 1 cum Head of the Department of Promotion and Entrepreneurial Development of BINA.
The objective of the educational visit was to provide students exposure to a working environment, at the same time allowing them the opportunity to visit a company at one of the industrial sites under BINA.
BINA Department, one of the government agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR), is tasked with facilitating the development and expansion of industries in the Sultanate.
The group later ended their educational tour with a visit to Syarikat Gardenia Sdn Bhd located at the Beribi Industrial Site.
