"What is the "best" for you? What keeps you from giving those "best" things the time and energy you want to give them? Are too many "good" things getting in the way?"

Strong Winds In Rural Tutong

  • PDF

Tutong - Several rural areas in the Tutong District were hit once more by strong winds yesterday afternoon. The strong winds occurred several weeks after a similar incident occurred at the same area in Mukim Kiudang, Tutong on September 15.

The strong winds, accompanied by heavy rain, occurred at around 3.30pm and lasted for several minutes. Fortunately no injuries, as well as severe damage of property were reported in the incident.

Meanwhile at Simpang 553, Kampong Kebiat in Mukim Kiudang, a big tree was uprooted by the strong winds. The uprooted tree then knocked a main power line and pole, which nearly hit the main road. A team from the Department of Electrical Services (DES), Tutong Branch and their contractors rushed to the scene to clear the uprooted tree and repaired the damaged cable and power pole which supplies power source to several areas of Kg Kebia.
