Bandar Seri Begawan - The State Mufti's Office unveiled another series of Irsyad Hukum book which discusses matters relating to a Muslim's daily life such as belief, pious act like prayers, call not to enliven other religious festivals, Halal food and drinks and eating according to Islam, sacrificial ceremony, ethics when visiting patients and man wearing bangles for medical reasons.
Irsyad Hukum 2011 is a collection of articles found in Pelita Brunei, and produced jointly by officers from Buhuth division and Irsyad of the State Mufti's Office.
The book highlights 29 topics of discussion in 11 main sections. The arrangement in accordance to section is to facilitate readers to find the topics.
As an example, free from large and small dirt or filth is one of the conditions for prayers to be accepted. But doubts arise among the community on matters relating to cleaning such filth or dirt to an extent that some are uncertain when clothing or body splashed with dirt could be regarded as being filthy.
The Manager of Fatwa publication of the State Mufti's Office, Hj Yakob bin Hj Metali said response has been encouraging from members of the public as some has acquired the book as part of their personal collection. Another book launched by the State Mufti's Office entitled Teman Musafir' or Traveller's Companion is also very sellable.
The book is on sale at the book fair at the Indoor Stadium at the State Mufti booth 28, until March 10. The book fair is open from 9am till 10pm.
