St James's School Holds Kindergarten Open Day

Kuala Belait - St James's School in Belait District hosted an annual Kindergarten Open Day on Saturday with fun-filled activities for students and gave opportunity for parents to interact with the teachers.

Dyg Gazala bin Abdullah, the school's principal, stated that the Open Day was not just another school's annual activity but to share with the parents and the public their school programmes.

During the event, Kindergarten One to Three classes performed various dances while Primary Four to Six students did a field performance to the tune "Louder". In the afternoon, the event was further enlivened with live band performances by secondary students.

Apart from stage performances, fun games and activities were also conducted such as colouring contest, Counter Strike computer game competition, a Reptile Show, a Jumble Sale, a Film Show and a Water Bouncer which was a big hit among the school children.

Teachers and parents also took part in the fun Open Day by setting up stalls selling various kinds of foods and other products.

Meanwhile some parents who were interested to enrol their children in the school's Kindergarten classes also had the chance to speak with the teachers in charge. They also visited the classes where the crafts and artworks of students were displayed.
