Bandar Seri Begawan - In line with the identity of Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque as Raudhah al-Zikir, the mosque yesterday organised a programme called Halaqah Zikir which is to be held once a month.

It is to uphold the titah made by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to turn the country into a Zikir Nation, to realise the identity of the mosque as Raudhah al-Zikir, to make Zikir a daily practice for every staff at the government departments and private sectors so they will be blessed, attain success and are free from any calamities.

Halaqah Zikir is led by officers of the mosque comprising Pehin-Pehin Khatibs and Mudims and among the contents of the Halaqah Zikir are Sunnat prayer, recitation of Surahs as well as selected Zikir and reading of Special Doa.

Yesterday's ceremony began with Sunnat Hajat prayer, Ratib Al-Attas led by Begawan Pehin Khatib Haji Zainuddin bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Mohd Tamin while Doa Ratib al-Attas and Special Doa was read by Awg Zulkifli bin Haji Murat.
