Bandar Seri Begawan - The vision ofthe SMJA Secondary School is to develop the potential of students through effective and quality education in order to ensure that students lead a life of independence in the pursuit of success in their respective endeavours.
This was stated by the Principal of the SMJA Secondary School, Dk Hjh Rosnani Pg Hj Abd Rahman in her speech at the opening of a three-day orientation programme for the latest batch of 307 Year Seven students.
She added that the school's vision is progressive, caring and cheerful, and because of this, the culture of courtesy is considered very important in its implementation and should be consistently practised in and out of school boundaries.
"As you step onto the school premises, you can see motivational and educational signs everywhere. So hopefully, you will use this in your everyday activities."
The intensive orientation features briefings and ice-breaking activities from the Student Affairs Section and school counsellors.
During the final day, students participated in a 'Sukan Ria' event where sporting activities encouraged team work and the building of new friendships.
Several programmes have been invested in for Year Seven students this year such as a Remedial programme, Continuous Improvement Monitoring Programme, and Literacy and Numeracy programmes.
