Bandar Seri Begawan - In conjunction with the end-of-year school activities, Hassanal Bolkiah Boys Arabic Secondary School (SMALHB) has officially opened the school's new mini stadium.

The, event started with a welcoming speech by the Deputy Principal (Administration) of the school, Ustazah Hjh Azizah binti Hj Mohammad.

On hand to officially open the mini-stadium as guest of honour was Ustazah Hjh Asmah binti Hj Randah, Acting Director of the Department of Islamic Studies (JPI) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

In her speech, the guest of honour said that two new Arabic schools are soon to be built, adding that the schools would be able to cater to the growing number of students. The schools will be built in the vicinities of Kampong Rimba and Kampong Katok. They are expected to accommodate some 500 new students.

In conjunction with the opening ceremony, the final of a futsal tournament was held between Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Girl's Arabic Religious Secondary School (SUAMPR1PAD) team and SMALHB Team 'B'. SUAMPRIPAD won the match.

The futsal tournament was held with the prupose of further strengthening friendly ties between the officers from Arabic schools and the Department of Islamic Studies (JPI).
