Bandar Seri Begawan - Brunei Darussalam and Singapore continue to explore and assess their existing bilateral cooperation, including in the area of trade, during the ongoing official visit of Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to Brunei Darussalam.
The Singapore Prime Minister and wife attended a high-tea reception hosted by the High Commissioner of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam, Mr Jaya Ratnam yesterday, at Li Gong Restaurant, The Empire Hotel and Country Club.
The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, Dato Paduka Awg Hj Ali bin Hj Apong, as well as senior economic officers from Brunei Darussalam.
Mr Jaya Ratnam said during the ceremony that the Singapore delegates hoped to discuss current developments in bilateral trade cooperation between the two countries.
Also attending the ceremony were the Minister of Industry and Primary Resources as the Minister-in-Attendance, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Yahya bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Hj Bakar and his wife, Datin Hjh Norlina binti Dato Abu Bakar.
