Bandar Seri Begawan - The Royal Brunei Police Force through the Department of Traffic Control and Investigation has announced that several major roads in Brunei-Muara District will be closed from 6am onwards for this coming Sunday's Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) Charity Expedition for ALAF.
The affected roads are Jalan Stadium, Jln Berakas, jln Menteri Besar, Jln Kumbang Pasang, Jln Sultan, Jln McArthur, Jln Stoney, Jln Pemancha, Jln Tasek Lama, Jln Kebangsaan, Jln Anggerek Desa, Jln Muara and Jln Haji Basin.
The list of the affected roads was presented by Insp Pg Aininul bin Pg Hj Sarpuddin, the Acting Operation Officer at the Department of Traffic Control and Investigation, in a press conference yesterday.
"The Royal Brunei Police Force would like to remind the participants to carpool since there are limited parking spaces," he said. "We also would like to remind the participants to always lock their cars and not to leave any valuable items in their cars."
Insp Pg Aminul also iterated that the police will not hesitate to take action on vehicles that are parked at the roads mentioned above.
Road users are also reminded to be mindful of the thousands of participants taking part in the charity expedition and to comply with police instructions.
