Bandar Seri Begawan - A religious talk was held yesterday at the Islamic Dakwah Centre in Berakas. Presented by an experienced lecturer, Ustaz Hj Fansuri Syahrini bin Hj Ali, the talk was meant to remind fellow Muslims to enhance their stature and character in the holy month of Ramadhan.

Ustaz Hj Fansuri also elaborated on the benefits of fasting, and highlighted the pitfalls if one does not observe the religious obligations.

On a contemporary issue, he urged the attendees and other fellow Muslims to refrain from over-indulgence, especially following the recent issuance of the much-awaited Living Allowance (ESH) that they had received.

The month of Ramadhan should be a time for religious activities and moderation in certain aspects in daily life, and spending wisely is an important criterion during such a month, said Ustaz Hj Fansuri.

The talk was the first in the series of religious lectures to be held at the venue throughout Ramadhan.

The event was attended by government officers and staff from various ministries and departments.
