Bandar Seri Begawan - A ceremony in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul was held yesterday at the residence of the Minister of Development, "Aural Indah", at Kampong Sungai Hanching.

The guest of honour at the event was Datin Paduka Hajah Adina binti Othman, Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Donations were also presented during the ceremony to three funds established for the Gaza and Bopha. Filipina Humanitarian Funds as well as donations to victims of the Kampung Ayer fire.

A lecture was delivered by Ustazah Norizah binti Haji Abidin, a guest speaker from Islamic Dakwah Centre, on the birth of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

In addition, a Dikir performance was carried out by the Sengkurong 'A' Consultative Council group as well as a thanksgiving prayer towards the end of the ceremony.

Also present at the ceremony was the spouse of Minister of Development Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Sena Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman; Datin Hajah Asmah Hj Abdul Rahman.
