Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei Regatta yesterday attracted thousands of spectators from all over the nation and from the participating countries as well as tourists from abroad.
Members of the public were seen cheering the teams during the race, cheering the teams that they were supporting while holding up big banners.
A spectator at the Dermaga Diraja (Royal Wharf) Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday found this year's regatta to be well organised compared to last year's.
"I am quite happy with it. I came here before 8am to ensure that I catch the competition from the first race in the morning to the last in the afternoon. The races were very exciting and I took lots of photos. His Majesty's race in the afternoon was definitely the one that I looked forward to the most," said Iqbal, who was there with his wife and family.
Mus, another fan of the regatta, came back this year with new gadgets which he planned earlier by learning from last year's race.
"Hopefully by the end of the day, my time lapse attempt will be successful as this year I have bought a new camera which can take long hours of time lapse photos," he said.
