Recycling Topic Wins Japanese Speech Contest

Bandar Seri Begawan - The 26th Japanese Speech Contest was held at The Core, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) yesterday. Present as guest of honour was Awg Hj Mahrub bin Hj Murni, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office.

Chua Wee Ming emerged the winner of the advanced category with his speech entitled, "The problem of recycling" and has won himself a weeklong trip to Japan and a trophy.

Fatin Nuramalina Aslin took first prize in the beginner category with her speech, "Inspiration". According to Mr Kinzo Nakagun, Charge d' Affaires of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, the annual event is held with kind and devoted contributions from all the supporters and has achieved various developments in line with the furthering of Japan-Brunei relations.
