Kuala Belait - A man in Kuala Belait couldn't believe his eyes when he saw a large mango which he later discovered weighed 3.79 kilogrammes. He is optimistic the fruit which dropped during the downpour last Friday may have set a new weight record. "The mango was protected from squirrels ever since it started to grow last August. We have checked the Guinness World Record for the current record holder, who is from The Philippines and had a mango that weighed 3.435 kilogrammes," claimed the man, who e-mailed pictures of the massive fruit to the Borneo Bulletin. The man, who identified himself as 'Stephen' in the e-mail, said he had also taken a video of the fruit as proof of its size.
