Bandar Seri Begawan - The Regatta Executive Committee members have organised a reception ceremony for the participants of the 2013 Brunei Regatta yesterday, held at the Dermaga Diraja, Bander Seri Begawan.

The event was attended by Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yahya bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, Minister of Industry and Primary Resources; Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hazair bin Haji Abdullah, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports; Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs; Datin Paduka Hajah Adina binti Othman, Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, and permanent secretaries of their respective ministries.

The purpose of this event was to celebrate and strengthen the friendship ties among the 1,000 local and foreign participants.

The event also saw a handing of souvenir presented to the Minister of Industry and Primary Resources, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, and the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs by Astana group of Brunei and Putera Kuala Lawas of Malaysia.
