Bandar Seri Begawan - In embracing the spirit of Hari Raya Aidiladha through providing aid and welfare support to the people in need, Royal Brunei Technical Services (RTBS) together with the Takmir Mosque and Youth Committee of Kg Masin and Kg Masin Mosque Committee held a Korban and Aqiqah ceremony at the Kg Masin Mosque yesterday.
Present at the ceremony were the chairperson of Royal Brunei Technical Services, Dayang Hajah Ning-Lela binti Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad and Board of Director of RBTS, Awang Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny, as well as representatives of the Department of Mosque Affairs under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, advisor to Kg Masin Mosque Committee and Village Head of Kg Masin, Awang Mohsin bin Hj Kamis.
Also present at the ceremony were the management and staff of RBTS.
The ceremony began with the congregational Asar prayers and the recitation of the Takbir followed by the distribution of sacrificial meat of nine buffaloes (five of which were from RBTS staff and four from the people of Kg Masin) and five goats (from RBTS staff).
According to the Chief Executive Officer of RBTS Hajah Rosmawati binti Hj Manaf, RBTS decided to work with the mosque and the village residents in order to inculcate teamwork in voluntary and charitable works among the staff.
