Bandar Seri Begawan - The prestigious decoration of The Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown ofThailand was conferred to the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand.
The award was presented by General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Chief of Defence Force, Royal Thai Armed Forces (RTAF) at the RTAF Headquarters in Bangkok on December 17.
Present at the investiture ceremony were senior officials from Brunei Darussalam Embassy in the Kingdom of Thailand and senior ranking officers from the Royal Thai Armed Force's Headquarters.
In the citation read during the investiture ceremony, the prestigious decoration was awarded in recognition of the Commander RBAF exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of his outstanding service in the position of Commander of RBAF. Also, in this position of great responsibility, the Commander of RBAF has demonstrated his distinguished service, outstanding accomplishments, and contribution to the good relation between RBAF and RTAF.
The RBAF Commander and delegation were in Thailand from December 16 to 18. During the visit, he also made a courtesy call on General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Chief of Defence Force, RTAF to discuss bilateral cooperation and engagement between the two armed forces.
Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan was also honoured to make official visits to the 1st Infantry Regiment of The King's Guard in Bangkok and the Royal Thai Army Special Forces Command at Lopburi.
