Bandar Seri Begawan - In commemorating the Maulidur Rasul celebrations, the nightly Dikir Maulud events came to a close at the surau of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) in Bolkiah Garrison last night. The nightly Dikir Maulud events have been held since the opening night on January 12.

The guest of honour at the event was the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.

Also present were permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, directors, as well as other senior officials from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

The event began with the reading of the verses of the Quran led by Ustaz Awang Haji Ariffin bin Haji Tuah.

One of the highlights of the religious function was a special lecture by an invited speaker from Islamic Dakwah Centre, Ustaz Hj Fansuri Sharimi bin Mohd Ali. Similar events were also held simultaneously in a number of suraus in various RBAF camps.
