Bandar Seri Begawan - The local construction industry is one of the fastest growing industry today, which was reflected in exposure of the on-going premier event, the Quality Living Showcase in conjunction with the Civil Service Day at the International Convention Centre.
Speaking to the Bulletin was Mode Designer, Anthony Y S Ku, who specialises in modern custom-made kitchen and closet designs by using international acclaimed manufacturer called Blum, Alumix and Ximula.
These products, according to Anthony, offer affordable storage solutions that leave minimal wastage of space at home - in the kitchen and bedroom alike -ideal for the new government housing schemes and compact homes.
He said, "Our products are made of the highest-grade materials with a wide range of components and accessories to choose from, all according to customer's budget and specification. And most important of all, the products are versatile!"
One of the state-of-the-art products on display is the 'bi-fold lift system' for kitchen storage. "The system has a two-part front that folds in the centre when opening. The bi-fold lift system is ideal for higher wall cabinets with large fronts".

Meanwhile, Neo Guan Sai of Hiap Guan Cushions Furniture MFG and Construction Company, whose core business includes custom-made furniture and residential interior design for nearly 40 years, is also boarding their creative designs in the exhibition.
He said that their operation spans the full spectrum of the market from commercial to residential. "We have been recognised for the quality of work and service that we provide to our prestigious clients," he said.
Among their project reference include Secret Recipe's Restaurant branches in Gadong Mall and Serusop, the departure hall in the Brunei International Airport as well as the Kampong Ayer Cultural & Tourism Gallery.
Hiap Guan Cushions Furniture MFG and Constructions is also offering patrons a bedroom makeover in attractive packages which include free electronics, such as air-conditioners and LED TVs. This promotion is only valid until October 25.
Chop Kim San Home Improvement Centre, a family-owned business established since 1964, highlighted their expertise in water proofing works for roofing using heavy-duty materials that are guaranteed to last long.
Speaking to the Bulletin was the director, Wilson Lim, who noted mistake that home owners made with regard to roofing is "using low-quality materials", which challenges wear and tear due to the weather conditions in the region.
Another product Wilson is currently promoting is the Pentair Water system, which basically provides advanced filtration, separation, treatment, and quality control of both water and other fluids at homes or commercial buildings.

Visitors are welcome to visit the Quality Living Showcase at multipurpose hall of ICC from 9am to 9pm daily until October 21.
