Bandar Seri Begawan - The on-going Quality Living Showcase currently being held in conjunction with the 19th Civil Service Day has now been extended until October 25 due to an overwhelming response from members of the public, the organiser said yesterday.
Exhibitors are taking advantage of this extension to further showcase their products and services, as well as maximise their promotional activities with attractive prices and special discounts.
For Joshua Tang of TYL Enterprise Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of Japan-manufactured Mr Paint Man brand in Brunei, who spoke with the Bulletin, stressed the importance of establishing a long-term relationship with clients and expressed his hope that the company's team of experienced painters can make a difference.
"These are the add-on service's we provide for our clients as we realise some contractors rush to finish a job. We feel that our team is better suited to help apply these paints," he said.
Joshua also highlighted that most people are not aware that their paints are eco-friendly and of a high standard. "We are one of the approved listed brands for the Ministry of Development as well," he added.
To date, TYL Enterprise has worked on 1,500 government houses under the housing development scheme in Bukit Beruang, along with schools and private residences around the Sultanate.
Meanwhile, LSL Sdn Bhd believes that the quality of their products is matched by good pricing for all their customers, according to Sales Marketing representative, Edwin Chai. Apart from producing high-quality water tanks, the company has ventured into roofing sheets, which are currently on display at the Quality Living Showcase.
Manufactured in Brunei, LSL Sdn Bhd .roofing sheets can withstand the tropical climate common to the region. "The customers' most common question to us is, 'Why are the colours of our roofs fading?' We ensure our customers that our products can last for about 20 years, without fading, as long as proper maintenance is also done from time to time:"
Edwin also helps provide free consultation and suggestions on what type of roofing would be best for homes. "Our products and construction services are registered with the Construction Planning and Research Unit (CPRU) and are fully certified. This allows us to be seen as more trustworthy and reliable to our customers," he added.
Another exhibitor, Madam Joyce Chen, the Executive Director of Thomson Furniture, said that they are taking advantage of the extension to treat their customers to discounts up to 50 per cent on selected bed frames as well as a 30 per cent discount on all their furniture products.
`There are not many exhibitions such as this showcase, therefore we are treating our customers who purchase Dorma brand mattress to 50 per cent off of any bed frames of their choice. Additionally, for King Koil mattresses, customers are entitled for a 40 per cent discount on any bed frames," she explained.
Jackhan Sdn Bhd are also exhibiting items that are currently available at special discounts with an additional three per cent discount if customers purchase furniture items during the exhibition.
Both furniture specialists also offer free consultation on home furnishing in addition to free deliveries for customers.
The Quality Living Showcase is open to the public between 9am and 9pm until October 25, at the Multipurpose Hall of the International Convention Centre.
