Bandar Seri Begawan - About 100 architects, quantity surveyors and contractors as well as lawyers attended the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Seminar on the Federation Internationale des Ingenieurs Conseils (FIDIC) - The Interpretation of FIDIC and Understanding its Potential yesterday.
The one-and-a-half day seminar was organised by PUJA (Pertubuhan Ukur, Jurutera Dan Arkitek, Brunei Darussalam) Engineer Division as part of its continuous professional development programme for the industry.
Present were Hj Zulkipli Hj Abd Hamid, the President of PUJA, as well as other members.
The course was organised to enhance knowledge of the different types of international contract documentation for the construction and engineering industry as well as the types of FIDIC suitable for the local industry.
The seminar was conducted by Professor Michael P O'Reilly from the UK, Professor Philip Jeyaretnam DC from Singapore and Professor Colin. Ong from Brunei Darussalam who are amongst the leading international lawyers and arbitrators.
