Bandar Seri Begawan - The general public, especially home owners, has responded positively to the ongoing Quality Living Showcase currently being held at the International Convention Centre.
People planning to build or renovate their homes, as well as fit in new furniture came in droves to the exhibition.
One of them, Sari Uqbiah Hj Zainal, said that she received direct consultation at the exhibition regarding the best real estate choices available to her in light of her desire to build a house.
"It provided me with good access to real estate companies, as I plan to have my own house and the exhibition is a platform for that need. Everything is available under one roof."
Ramaddan bin Pijar, who came from Kuala Belait to visit the showcase, said he needs materials for his new home and that the showcase provided him with good access to surveying tiles, roofing and furniture. "It was ideal for searching for my materials," he said, before expressing his hope that the exhibition will be held annually.
Hjh Massiti binti Hj Awg Mukkim commented that the overall exhibition is good, but it would be even better if it was bigger and had more choices for people to explore. As she is currently in the process of building a home, her sole purpose of visiting the showcase was to look for furniture such as a wardrobe and kitchen cabinet. She too said she would like to see the exhibition held every year so that it is easier for people to keep up with the latest trends.
Hj Mohd Zain bin Hj Jumat has spent his time looking at interior design and furniture, and has so far taken his family to the exhibition twice in search of new products and eco-friendly houses. "This creates awareness on what is new and what is good for us. We also get the opportunity to win attractive prices at these exhibitions and I hope to see more of this in the near future," he said.
Hj Mohd Zain's only criticism was that the placing of booths was a little disorganised and hopes that future exhibits will see real estate and furniture representatives delegated to different sides away from each other instead of just lumping everything together.
The family of Hj Laidin bin Hj Mail has just been granted a new house from the national housing scheme and was visiting the showcase in search of furniture to Ilt in with his new home.
He expressed satisfaction at the consultations he received during his visit and was excited at seeing new and modern designs.
S Team Solutions Event Management in their capacity as the organiser of the showcase is hosting the exhibition in conjunction with the 19th Civil Service Day.
