Public Talk On Wildlife Conservation

Bandar Seri Begawan - Green Brunei with the support from the Heart of Borneo Centre, Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources and sponsored by HSBC Brunei, will be organising a public talk on "Documenting Wildlife in Asia - Stills and Motion: Empowering Environment/Wildlife Conservation and Education Through Photography".

According to a press release, the talk will feature international award-winning wildlife photographers, CS Ling and Ethan Lim from Life List Chase, who will share their amazing photographic adventures documenting some of the world's most magnificent and endangered wildlife in Asia and Borneo.

Lim Boon Teck, Manager of Corporate Sustainability at HSBC is quoted in the press release as saying, "It is extremely satisfying to learn that, it was in part due to HSBC's earlier investment that inspired Bruneian Youth to band together and led to the formation of Green Brunei, an organisation that is dedicated to tackling current environmental issues."

Mr Mahmud Yussof, Deputy Director of Forestry and Interim Acting CEO of the Heart of Borneo Centre, Brunei Darussalam is also quoted in the press release.

"This is in line with Heart of Borneo Brunei's national communication strategy to enhance the understanding of the general public on environment protection and biodiversity resource conservation through informal education and awareness programmes by all means incorporating the use of ICT," Mr Mahmud Yussof, Deputy Director of Forestry and Interim Acting CEO of the Heart of Borneo Centre, Brunei Darussalam was quoted saying.

The talk, which is open to the public, will be held on October 9 from 2pm - 5pm at the Setia Pahlawan Hall, Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources.
