Bandar Seri Begawan - Pusat Tingkatan Enam, Meragang [PTEM] has begun enrolment for its Early Entry programme. Prospective PTEM students for the academic year beginning January 2013 are urged to enroll in the school during this enrolment period - which lasts until 4pm on Thursday.
The aim of the Early Entry programme is to use the period between January through to March wisely in academic activities. In past years these first few months were often `lost' as students sat at home waiting for Cambridge '0' and 'A' level results. But many believe this empty period was a lost opportunity to begin the diligent work of a Form Six student.
Early entry is based on a prospective student's Year 11 Qualifying exam results. Generally, a student must obtain a minimum of4 '0' level Credits to enter Year 12. The Early entry enrolment period is a great opportunity for students and parents to discuss subject choices and career options with school staff. It is also a wonderful opportunity to view the facilities and talk to other students already studying at PTEM.
The school expects an overall new enrolment of anywhere between 500 700 students. PTEM provides up to 23 different 'A and 'AS' level subjects in a broad variety of subject choices which, apart from the traditional selection, include Travel & Tourism, Sociology Psychology and Food Studies.
The principal, Dyg Chong Li Chen, urges all prospective students with their parents, to visit the school now, so that the 2013 academic year can begin smoothly and happily.
