Bandar Seri Begawan - Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB) is inviting prospective students to apply for a Diploma in 'Aliyah Qiraat'.

The programme will be completed in three years or six semesters and students will be guided and trained as a Huffaz who can memorise 30 Juzuks of Al-Quran. Other modules include Al-Quran, Qiraat, Islamic Education, Arabic language and MIB.

To be eligible, applicants must be a citizen or permanent resident of Brunei Darussalam and a Muslim. They must obtain 'Jayyid' in at least four subjects in the Sijil Pelajaran Ugama Brunei or possess four Brunei GCE '0' levels or its equivalent including Malay and Arabic languages. Applicants must pass the entry interview and possess a health account from the government health centre.

For foreign students who wish to apply, they should write to the Chairman of the ITQSHHB Board. Application forms can be obtained at the office at Spg 175, Km 2, Jln RIPAS, Bandar Seri Begawan BA 2112.

Eligible candidates will be called for an interview and a written test. The deadline to submit the applications is March 20.
