Bandar Seri Begawan - Dato' Abdullah Sani Omar, the Malaysian High Commissioner in Brunei Darussalam yesterday presented prizes for the PWM Muhibbah Table Tennis Tournament organised in conjunction with the 55th Malaysia National Day celebration.

The prize giving ceremony followed the Malaysian national flag-hoisting event.

In table tennis, the winner of the Men Singles was Lim Kiang Hiung while second place went to Lim Chong Yan.

In third place was Puh Suan Kan. In the men's doubles, Lim Ching Yan and Lim Kian Hiung came first followed by Hu King Ong and Puh Suan Kan in second place.

Third place went to Brady Ong Ka Ting and King Teck Ling.

In the women's singles, Sia Mee Mee came in first place followed by Lim Mel Lin in second place. Kiing Sii Sling came third. In the Women's Doubles, Sia Mee Mee and Ng Lim Di were crowned champions while Lau Ngik Qian and Lye Xin Ling took second place. Lim Mei Lin and Kiing Sii Siing settled in third place.

In basketball, the champion trophy went, to Trader's Inn team while second place went to Hankook Tyre team followed by GTE Directories in third place. Fourth place and fifth place went to GMT Global and team Raymond Tan respectively.

Ken Kho was champion of the basketball 3 point shootout.

The event was organised by Persatuan Warganegara Malaysia with the aim of fostering closer ties through sport activities as well as to celebrate Malaysia 55th National Day.
