Prime Minister's Office Holds Tedarus At Kg Belimbing Mosque

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Prime Minister's Offntce (PMO) held a Tedarus yesterday at Kampong Belimbing Mosque in Jalan Subok, which was jointly hosted by the Adat Istiadat Negara Department, the Civil Service Institute and the Management Services Department.

Tedarus al-Quran is often conducted during the month of Ramadhan in order to seek the blessings and is usually carried out daily in the majority of mosques across the Sultanate.

The Tedarus involved the recitation of verses of al-Quran from Juzuk 16 onwards until the end.

The recitation was led by the Minister of Finance II at the Prime Minister's Office, Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Abdul Rahman bin Hj Ibrahim.

Also present were YAM Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, the Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara; Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Hj Awg Judin bin Hj Asar, Clerk I to the Legislative Council; Dato Paduka Awg Hj Abd Salam bin Hj Abd Momin, Clerk H to the Legislative Council; and officers and staff of the PMO.

Prior to the ceremony's commencement, the PM0 made a waqaf contribution in the form of five vertical fans, a vacuum cleaner and other electrical appliances to the mosque's takmir committee.

The congregation then broke their fast and held a mass Maghrib prayer.
