Presentation Of Certificates To POLSARA Members

Bandar Seri Begawan - Committee members from the Association of Retired Royal Brunei Police Force Personnel (POLSARA) received appreciation and election certificates from the Police Commissioner in a ceremony yesterday.

Pehin Orang Kaya Pendikar Alam Dato Paduka Seri Haji Hasrin bin Dato Paduka Haji Sabtu, Commissioner of Police, who is also the Advisor to POLSARA, in his welcoming remarks expressed his admiration for the association's hard work and determination in bringing the association together and hoped that the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF)'s ties with the association can be strengthened with better cooperation.

Meanwhile, President of POLSARA, Pg Dato Paduka Hj Salim Pg Hj Wahid, in his remarks maintained the association's commitment in building a stronger association and affirmed its readiness in assisting the RBPF where necessary in combating crimes where needed. The president also forwarded several suggestions to the police commissioner which will be of help and beneficial to the association's members.

The ceremony yesterday was also held in conjunction with the RBPF's 92nd Anniversary. Also present was the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dato Seri Pahlawan Awg Bahrin bin Hj Mohd Noor.

POLSARAs yearly activities mostly involve taking part in national ceremonial events, such as the National Day parade and His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's birthday celebrations, as well as visits to districts. POLSARA was formed 24 years ago and is composed of retired police officers aged 55 to 70.
