Thought of the Day:
"For many of us, there's a gap between the compass and the clock-between what's deeply important to us and the way we spend our time."

Pre-Rojak Cannonball Run Check-Up

Bandar Seri Begawan - The 3rd Rojak Cannonball Run is set to flag off on June 29, with the all-Honda convoy holding its pre-departure checkup at the Redline Tuning House, Salinah Sari Enterprise, Tanah Jambu, recently on Monday afternoon.

The biennial event is a collaboration with the Kota Kinabalu Honda Club, Sabah, whereby the all-Honda Brunei convoy drives from Bandar Seri Begawan to Kota Kinabalu, the meeting point for the two clubs, who will continue their journey all the way up until Kundasang, Mount Kinabalu.

The Rojak Racing group, which consists strictly of Honda car owners, has managed the last two episodes of the event, which were successfully completed back in 2007 and 2009, and will be teaming up with Redline Tuning House for this year's run, which is tipped to receive the largest amount of participants.

The ideology behind the event is to encourage and employ road safety awareness and safe driving practises where possible.

It also allows drivers to gain experience on unknown terrain and conditions and to ensure the participating cars experience a safe and smooth ride in line with the group's tagline 'exercising caution at all times'.

Majority of the 13 high performance Hondas have been retrofitted with the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) concept, in terms of handling and performance.

All drivers will be given a revised convoy manual that will explain in detail the safety precautions, skills and rules of the run.

The 3rd Rojak Cannonball Run is set to depart from the Rizqun International Hotel, Gadong in a flag-off ceremony on June 29, and the convoy is expected to return safely to Bandar Seri Begawan by July 3.
