Postal Services Department Receives New Terrace Housing

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Postal Services Department received a new six unit Terrace Housing Complex in Kampong Limau Manis allocated especially for the department's officers and staff.

Construction first began on August 13, and was fully completed four months later at a total cost of B$862, 840.63. The project is included in the 9th National Development Plan (2007-2012) managed by the Development Maintenance Unit, Postal Services Department and the project's contractor was Tekad Fajar Sdn Bhd.

During a key hand-over ceremony held recently, guest of honour, Haji Awang Bujang bin Hj Tinkong, Acting Postmaster General received the mock key from Awang Haji Amir Hamzah bin Haji Abdul Karim, a representative from the Department of Building Services, Public Works Department.

Also present were officers and staff from the Postal Services Department, as well as the contractor who handled the project.

The three-storey modern terrace house complex was built in a one-hectare area located in Kampong Limau Manis, Mukim Pengkalan Batu - next to the Postal Services Department, Limau Manis.
