Policeman Convicted Of Raping Daughter

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Intermediate Court yesterday set September 10, 2012 for the sentencing of a 33-year-old police personnel who three days ago was convicted of three counts of charges for raping his daughter.

Judge Lim Siew Yen adjourned the case, to consider sentencing after hearing submission from the prosecution yesterday on previous cases to support sentencing.

The court heard that the first rape incident occurred when the victim was seven years old at the Seria Police Barracks in Kuala Belait, again when she was 10 years old at Lamunin Police Barracks, Tutong and the most recent rape incident was when the victim was 11 years old at a house in Kg Panaga, Kuala Belait. The case was reported to the police in August 2011.

The investigations were then carried out by the Women and Children Abuse Investigation Unit, Criminal Investigations Department. DPP Pg Hjh Hana Molina Pg Hj Mohammad prosecuted the case.
