Bandar Seri Begawan - PHMD Publishing Company yesterday held an introduction for the Road Safety e-book at Beribi Primary School, Telanai.
The chief guest at the event was Noorfaridah binti Haji Kassim, principal of the school who also presented prizes to the winners of a colouring contest. The founder of PHMD Publishing, Ak Khairi bin Pg Hj Metussin said the event was held for the first time and that similar events will be held at other schools, especially in the Brunei-Muara District.
He said a road safety programme is being conducted by PHMD Publishing, AITI and Sekolah Rendah Beribi Telanai under a government initiative to deal with road safety issues. The programme offers tips on how to deal with certain situations whilst on the road.
The programme's mission is to enhance the understanding of road and traffic signs, especially among those who read the road safety book. The e-book is available on iTunes: The Malay version is called 'B Kreatif', while the English version is 'Brunei Road Safety'.
Meanwhile, the winners of the colouring contest for the lower primary school category were Natalie Sulvians in first place, Nurubiatul Adaniyah bte Suwardi in second place and Nursabrina bte Alimin in third place.
In the upper primary school category Md Ezwan bin Iswandi won first place, followed by Nur Shasha Shahiru in second place and Dk Noor Fatin Shafiqah in third place. They each received medals and gifts.
