PHA Bakar Filling Station Distributes Demerit Points System Guidebooks

Tutong - The distribution of the Demerit Points System Guidebook. was held .recently at the PHA Bakar Filling Station in Tutong town.

Present as the chief guest was the Acting Tutong District Officer, Awg Shamsul Bahrin bin Hj Mohd Hussain. Also present were the officers from the Royal Brunei Police Force, representatives from the Land Transport Department, senior government officers, contractors as well as members of Board Directors of PHA Bakar Filling Station.

The event began with the recital of doa selamat by Hj Md Soffi bin OKSW Hj Abdullah, followed by a briefing by a representative of the Brunei Shell Marketing (BSM) regarding the objectives of the event held that day.

There was also a briefing delivered by a senior staff of PHA Bakar Filling Station regarding the safety procedures if any emergency does arise at the station.

The chief guest, Awg Shamsul Bahrin and other guests then moved to the pumps area where the Demerit Points System Guidebook was officially distributed to the drivers of the vehicles who came to buy petrol at the PHA Bakar Filling Station. In an interview with a member of PHA Bakar Board of Directors, Hj Awg Adenan bin PDP Hj Abu Bakar, said that he was delighted that their station was elected as the distribution venue for the Demerit Points System Guidebook in the Tutong District that day.

This has proven that the PHA Bakar Filling Station was committed to give full support in any efforts by the government and BSM to increase public awareness on road safety.

Hj Awg Adenan was also optimistic with the distribution of the Demerit Points System Guidebooks, which could educate the road users especially the drivers to drive with good discipline at all times.
