Overseas Undergraduate Civic Course Comes To A Close

Bandar Sri Begawan - The Brunei Darussalam Overseas Undergraduate Civic Course 2013 programme came to an end during the closing and certificate presentation ceremony held yesterday at the Pengiran Setia Negara Hall of the Information Department in the capital.

Present as the guest of honour yesterday was Ak Abdullah bin Pg Hj Tengah, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) of the Ministry of Education.

The ceremony began with- the mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a welcoming remark from Awg Mawardi bin Hj Mohammad, Acting Director of Information Department.

In his remarks, Awg Mawardi expressed hope that the participants will share the knowledge they gained from the four-day civic course.

The ceremony then continued with a speech from Al< Md Habri Hazim bin Pg Hj Abdul Rahman, who spoke on behalf of the civic course participants, to express their appreciation and gratitude to the involved agencies conducting the course.

Ak Abdullah, in his speech, urged the participants not to neglect what they have been entrusted with, as scholarship students. He hoped that the objectives of the civic course will be achieved and can be used as leverage by participants to become assets to the nation, country as well as religion.

Towards the end of the ceremony, a total of 32 undergraduates received certificates presented by the guest of honour.
