Bandar Seri Begawan - Staff of Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Brunei celebrated the year's achievements during the bank's annual staff dinner held recently at the Ceasar Hall of Orchid Garden Hotel.
"Our annual staff party is a great way to thank colleagues for their hard work and at the same time come together to celebrate and reflect on all our achievements," said Tan Lee Ngee, the Head of Human Resources and Chairperson of the event's organising committee.
"During this special event, we also honour our long service staff and are pleased to have awarded 40 of them tonight with five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years awards for their dedication and loyalty. Our people are important to us and at Standard Chartered Bank, driving engagement through events such as these is one of the factors that makes us a great place to work."
Carrying the theme 'Myth and Legends,' the evening was a fun-filled event and staff enthusiastically came decked out in stunning outfits.
Guests were entertained throughout the evening with fun, games and laughter. The programme also included special staff recognition awards and special long service awards.
The evening began with a special 'Gangnam Style' dance performance by the bank's Senior Management team, which was followed by a welcoming speech by the CEO, Lai Pei-Si.
Staff from other departments also presented various performances with the best performance winning a prize.
To add to the excitement, a series of lucky draws were featured in which the top prize of an iPhone 5 was won by Operations Assistant Norasraihana Md Saidi. Awards were also given out for the Best Dressed Lady and Gentleman of the evening and spot prizes for games.
